TAKE 'EM TO CHURCH

"It’s a different kind of cloth that we’re cut from," intones EMI/Nashville’s Eric Church on the title track from The Outsiders, which tops this week’s HITS Album SalesChart with 291k. That’s twice the bow of his previous set for Team Dungan, which streeted just over a year ago with 145k and has moved 1.7m RTD. Whatever kind of cloth Church is cut from, everybody wants to feel that fabric about now. Even John Varvatos.

Disney’s Frozen lands at #2 and 100k (+14%)—and crosses the 1 million sales mark. The unstoppable animated ST is also at 1.43m TEA. Look for Ken Bunt and company to see further milestones come Oscar time.

NOW 49, which is on the NOW label, which is a partnership between UMG and Sony and distributed by UMG as part of Bruce Resnikoff's UMe universe—as the parties involved have strenuously clarified—claims #3 with 80k (-%17%), followed by Columbia’s Beyoncé, who tosses another 50k on her nearly 1.8m RTD tally (+34%). Bruno Mars rounds out the Top 5 with 47k (-37%).

KidinaKorner/Intersope’s Imagine Dragons saw a bump of 91% thanks to $6.99 iTunes pricing, good for 42k and #6; Lava/Republic’s Lorde (#7, 38k) is up 9% and one week away from a million; Toni Braxton & Babyface do 33k (-51%) for their Motown duet set, landing at #8; Katy Perry hits #9 with 32k (+22%); the Top 10 is completed by another beneficiary of that iTunes sale, RCA’s Miley Cyrus, who sees a 111% with 29k, making her the week’s biggest gainer.

Outside the Top 10, Republic Nashville’s Florida Georgia Line saw a 50% spike, moving up to #13 with 22k, while Columbia’s John Legend jumped 10 spots to #15 (+77%) with 20k. Glass Air’s Glitch Mob is the only Top 20 debut apart from Church, landing at #16 with 20k. Virgin’s Bastille (another $6.99 selection) zoomed up 79% to land at #17.
