Post-Grammy Push Sends Mumford & Sons Back to the Top, Fuel Huge Gains Among Performers, Winners
The Grammys are turning out to be to sales what steroids are to home runs.

Thanks to its Album of the Year honors, Glassnote’s Mumford & Sons return to #1 on the HITS chart, with 186k in sales, up a humongous 237% for a total just shy of 2 million.

Capitol’s Grammy Nominees 2013 album adds another 88k, good for #2, up 130%, followed by Atlantic’s Bruno Mars (#6-3, +117%), Reprise’s Josh Groban (#4) and Big Machine’s Taylor Swift (#14-5, +121%) leading the pack.

Dualtone’s The Lumineers (#6, +59%), Fueled by Ramen’s fun. (#12-7, +93%), Capitol’s Now 45 (#8), A&M/Octone’s Maroon 5 (#33-9, +239%) and RCA’s P!nk (#22-10, +140%) round out the Top 10.

Veteran RCA hard rockers Bullet for My Valentine are the week’s top new release, entering at #14, with BEC’s Jeremy Camp bowing at #30, and Columbia’s Bombshell: The New Marilyn Music from Smash debuting at #42.

Thanks to Awards show exposure, Island/IDJ’s Bob Marley and the Walters Legend (#34), RCA’s Miguel (#37) and Atlantic’s Zac Brown Band (#40) all re-enter the Top 50.

Other Grammy-related sales surges were experienced by Nonesuch’s The Black Keys (#24-15, +115%), Def Jam/IDJ’s Rihanna (#18-13, +80%), Atlantic’s Hunter Hayes (#25-17, +77%), 19/Arista Nashville’s Carrie Underwood (#40-28, +71%), New Elektra’s Ed Sheehan (#31-20, +70%) and Def Jam/IDJ’s Frank Ocean (#47-45, +49%).

Among this week’s new releases are Century Media’s Buckcherry, Warner Bros.Atlas Genius, Veve’s Celtic Thunder and Island/IDJ’s Trinidad James.
