A Great Big World with Christina Aguilera’s “Say Something” (Black Magnetic/Epic) is the Greatest Gainer for the week at Top 40, while Lorde and Arctic Monkeys are set to battle for #1 at Alternative.

YOUR FRIDAY CHART PREVIEW

A Glimpse of the Future at Three Mediabase Radio Formats

Are you ready for a mind-blowing trip to the future? Well, hold on tight, because we're about to hip you to the world of tomorrow. Or at least what to expect at three key Mediabase radio formats.

TOP 40
After a three-week run, RCA’s Miley Cyrus relinquishes the Top spot and Team Interscope grabs not only #1 with Imagine Dragons’ "Demon" but also #2 with Eminem f/Rihanna’s "The Monster" and #3 with OneRebublic’s "Counting Stars." RCA’s Pitbull f/Ke$ha’s "Timber" continues to climb toward the Top 5, landing at #7, and A Great Big World with Christina Aguilera’s "Say Something" (Black Magnetic/Epic) is the Greatest Gainer for the week, jumping #33-27. The battle for a chart debut this week is too close to call between SYCO/Columbia’s Emblem3 "3000 Miles" and RCA’s Chris Brown f/Nicki Minaj with "Love More."

RHYTHMIC
There’s not much change in the Top 10 this week. Kid Ink f/Chris Brown’s "Show Me" (RCA) and Pitbull f/Ke$ha’s "Timber" (Mr. 305/RCA) have very solid increases and moves on the chart, as does Drake’s "The Language" (YM/CM/Republic). T-Pain’s "Up Down" (RCA) also continues to develop nicely, and will move into the Top 25. J Cole’s "She Knows" (Roc Nation/Columbia) and YG f/Jeezy & Rich Homie Quan’s "My Hitta" (CTE/Def Jam/IDJ) are both having great weeks. SoMo’s "Ride"(Republic) will be the biggest debut this week, with Future f/ Miley Cyrus’ "Real And True" (Epic) also debuting this week.

ALTERNATIVE
RCA
’s Cage the Elephant will remain #1 for a 5th week with their big hit, "Come a Little Closer." The new contenders for the #1 spot—Lorde’s "Team" (Lava/Republic) and "Do I Wanna Know?" from Domino’s Arctic Monkeys—are both having strong spin weeks but still remain a few hundred spins behind. XL’s Vampire Weekend is also having a good week of spins, and Top 10 is now in sight for "Unbelievers." Jake Bugg’s "What Doesn’t Kill You" (Mercury/IDJ) is next on deck to chart.
