What to Expect at Three Key Mediabase Formats

Happy Halloween, buddy! Your "disgruntled, disheveled and drunk promo guy" costume turned out great! What's that? Oh. Aaaanyway, let's consult our spooky Ouija board and ask the spirits about what the future holds for three key Mediabase charts.

TOP 40

We have a new #1 this week in “Bang Bang” by Lava/Republic's Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj. Island/Republic’s Tove Lo has one of this week’s Greatest Gainers, as "Habits (Stay High)" moves to #3. Ultra/RCA's Mr. Probz joins the Top 10 this week with "Waves." Charting this week and jumping way up the chart are Meghan Trainor’s "Lips Are Movin" (Epic) and Iggy Azalea f/MO’s "Beg for It" (Grand Hustle/Def Jam). Big Machine/Republic’s Taylor Swift also joins the chart with "Blank Space," one week before its official impact date.

RHYTHM

RCA will have the new #1 with Chris Brown f/Usher & Rick Ross’ "New Flame." Warner Bros.' Jason Derulo climbs into the Top 10 this week with "Trumpets," as does Republic's Rich Gang with "Lifestyle" f/Young Thug & Rich Homie Quan. Look for huge increases from Ariana Grande &The Weeknd’s "Love Me Harder" (Republic), Big Sean’s "IDFWU" (G.O.O.D./Def Jam) and I Love Makonnen f/Drake’s "Tuesday" (OVO/Warner Bros.). Grand Hustle/Def Jam's Iggy Azalea will debut "Beg For It" f/MO this week before going off to the races.

ALTERNATIVE

Republic can continue to celebrate, as Milky Chance's "Stolen Dance" will remain #1 for an 8th week on Monday. As we move forward, the #1 spot will be up for grabs. Expect to see Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” (Columbia) and alt-J’s “Left Hand Free” battle it out with Foo Fighters’ "Something From Nothing" (RCA). KidInAKorner/Interscope’s Imagine Dragons will see their new single, "I Bet My Life," debut on the chart right around #24.
