MUSIC BIZ TO STAY IN MUSIC CITY
10/24/17

The Music Business Association is settling into Nashville, where it will remain for at least another three years. Dates for its annual conference, which moved to Music City in 2015, have been booked through 2020. Of course, the already announced Music Biz 2018 will be taking place 5/14-5/17 at the Omni Nashville Hotel.

Music Biz 2019 is scheduled for 5/5-5/8, while the 2020 conference is slated for 5/11-5/14. Those years, the conference will be held at the new JW Marriott Nashville, which is currently being completed.

The conference has seen year-over-year growth in attendance since its relocation. And the decision to stay was emphatically endorsed by Music City Music Council co-chairman and Nashville Mayor, Megan Barry.

"The Music Biz conference has grown steadily over the three years we have hosted it in Nashville, topping 2,000 attendees last year for the first time since 2001," said Music Biz President James Donio. "We're thrilled to make it our flagship conference's home base for at least another three years, and look forward to exposing more music companies to Nashville and the many opportunities it provides."

On a semi-related note, since HITS' relocation to Hollywood Blvd., the stench of our reputation has gotten to the point where it finally matches our surrounding area.
