FROM WHERE YOU SIT, WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CHANGE IN THE NASHVILLE LANDSCAPE?
I think Nashville is officially an all-genre town, plain and simple. The legacy of country music will always be here; I’m so proud to be a part of that community now—and hopefully for years to come. Most of the labels, including Big Loud, have identified the incredible talent this town produces—of course in rock and pop, but also finding some really compelling artists in both hip-hop and R&B, which is personally fun for me, as I also have a passion for those genres.

WHAT ARE YOU NOW DOING DIFFERENT TO ADJUST TO THAT CHANGE?
Thankfully, many of the gatekeepers at DSPs have all-genre tastes. So they can keep up with the conversations about our country acts but also want to jump in and help develop our non-country things. That’s new for us and we’re making some incredible strides in being able to offer all of the necessary tools to develop non-country artists right here in Music City. We’re heavily engaged with all DSPs in breaking new acts, more than we’ve ever been.
