Wheeler Walker Jr. throws down serious hip-hop swag while kicking out a supersweet yodel on “Poon,” a bird-flippin' new track from his upcoming Ol’ Wheeler album, out 6/2. Walker unleashes major beef on the cut, on which he lyrically torches the virtual entirety of the Nashville community, from Luke Bryan to Blake Shelton and a laundry list of others, preferring instead the post-gig benefits of a touring musician.
“Poon” would indicate that Walker has served up a suitably filthy follow-up to his raunchy 2016 debut, Redneck Shit, which featured “Beer, Weed, Cooches,” and peaked at #9 on the Country charts. He kicks off a two-month tour 6/2 at the Ext/In in Nashville.
