CROSSOVER
THE BALLSTREET JOURNAL

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Epic and Sujit Kundu run yet another record to #1. This time, it’s DJ Khaled f/Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper & Lil Wayne’s “I’m the One” (We the Best), which jumped #3-1, up 400 spins (just enough to get the job done). They also take French Montana f/Swae Lee’s “Unforgettable” (Bad Boy) inside the Top 10, thanks to a huge 540-spin increase. This one’s looking like it too has the potential to go #1 in five to six weeks. Camila Cabello’s “Crying in the Club” (SYCO) comes in at #34, up 70 spins, while Fifth Harmony f/Gucci Mane’s “Down” climbs to #51, gaining 170 spins. Two weeks ago, DJ Khaled dropped a record with Drake, “To The Max” (We the Best), which is now at #45, up 73 spins. Since then, he released a brand new track with Rihanna, “Wild Thoughts” (We The Best). That one immediately saw more than 400 spins in just two short days. It’s sure to be the highest-debuting track next week. Make sure you spend some time with Travis Scott’s “Butterfly Effect” (Grand Hustle), as it’s starting to generate a buzz... It’s looking more and more like Glassnote’s Nick P could take Childish Gambino’s “Redbone” to #1. It makes its way into the Top 5 this week, adding an additional 600 spins to his total. This record has defied the odds, and is just a flat out, multi-format smash record… Republic’s Gary Spangler and Davey Dee see Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee f/Justin Bieber’s “Despacito” (UMLE/RBMG/Def Jam) leap #7-4, gaining over 700 spins. It’s still selling #1, and shows no signs of slowing down. The Weeknd’s “Reminder” (XO) slides #14-12, up 200 spins. Drake’s “Portland” (YMCMB) is at #21, up 60 spins, and Liam Payne f/Quavo’s “Strip That Down” moves to #26, adding 160 spins... Columbia’s Ayelet Schiffman and James White are hard at work with Ayo & Teo’s “Rolex,” as it comes in at #17 this week. Russ’ “You Me” sees a 270-spin increase, and moves to #48. He’s looking to debut this coming week. Calvin Harris f/Future & Khalid’s “Rollin” is up triple digits and is a few weeks away from debuting. Lecrae f/Tori Kelly’s “I’ll Find You” (Reach) also has an impressive week, gaining 240 spins. It’s now at #63. They’re impacting Dej Loaf’s “No Fear” this week, and it’s looking to get Most Added honors... RCA’s Inca and Lori G have Chris Brown’s “Privacy” at #16 this week. Kid Ink f/Ty Dolla $ign’s “F With U” (Tha Alumni/88 Classic) comes in at #22, and Bryson Tiller’s “Somethin’ Tells Me” (TrapSoul) gains 60 spins and climbs to #29. Wizkid f/Drake’s “Come Closer” (Starboy) is at #44, while Goldlink’s “Crew” (Squaaash Club) lands at #52. SZA f/Travis Scott’s “Love Galore” (Top Dawg) gains 30 new spins, placing her at #65, and Khalid’s “Young, Dumb, and Broke” (Right Hand) is just getting started. It sees a 130-spin jump, good enough for #76... Def Jam’s Rick Sackheim and Noah Sheer are on the fast track with Logic f/Alessia Cara & Khalid’s “1-800-273-8255,” shoots #22-18, gaining 375 spins. Big Sean’s “Jump Out the Window” climbs inside the Top 25 this week, up 140 spins. They debut David Guetta f/Justin Bieber’s “2U” at #37. This was up 440 spins, and is closing out quickly. YG f/DJ Mustard’s “Pop It, Shake It” is up 65 spins and still developing, while 2 Chainz f/Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz & Jhene Aiko’s “It’s a Vibe” gains 50 spins this week… Capitol’s Greg Marella and Dixie Tipton see Lil Yachty f/Migos’ “Peek A Boo” (QC) just miss the chart this week, at #41. Ne-Yo’s “Another Love Song” is up a healthy 120 spins, good enough for #66.
