CROSSOVER
With this week being Halloween, it’s looking like the chart will determine whether a number of these records are in fact “trick” or “treat.” For the second week in a row, the chart is full of positive chart gains: From #7-21, all but ONE record is up in spins. And from #26-40, there are only a handful of records down this week. Overall, only 12 of the Top 40 records had a decrease in spins. Let’s get into the specifics… Once again, Republic has the #1 record in the land with Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home.” Gary Spangler and Davey Dee also have the #3 song with Lorde’s “Royals.” It looks like it’s beginning to slow a bit, but the multi-format smash still has a chance to get to #1. They also have Ariana Grande f/Big Sean’s “Right There” inside the Top 10, sitting at #9, up 244 spins. Rounding out their chart success is Sage the Gemini’s “Gas Pedal” at #12, up 121 spins, Drake’s “All Me” at #21 and up over 200 spins, while DJ Khaled’s “I Wanna Be With You” at #31*. They impacted Sia f/The Weeknd’s “Elastic Heart” last week, and it was among the most added; Tyga f/Justin Bieber’s “Wait For A Minute” goes this week. Not only is it already at #64 on the chart, it’s also enjoying strong iTunes action… At RCA, John Strazza, Inca, and Lori G have Chris Brown f/Nicki Minaj’s “Love More” inside the Top 5, and gunning for #1. On the building chart, it’s already up triple digits for the week. They also have Justin Timberlake’s “TKO” at #14, with an increase of 227 spins, Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” jumping to #19, up 228 spins, Kid Ink f/Chris Brown’s “Show Me” vaulting #38-29 and surging 310 spins, T Pain’s “Up Down” at #32* and Pitbull f/Ke$ha’s “Timber” at #41, looking to debut this week… Rick Sackhiem, Noah Sheer, and Scott Maness at IDJ are also closing the year on a very strong note. They have August Alsina’s “I Love This Sh*t” at #13, increasing 162 spins this week. Jay Z’s “Tom Ford” moves inside the Top 15, up 332 spins. Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” is at #17, adding 163 spins, and Rihanna’s “What Now” sits at #27*. Iggy Azalea f/T.I.’s “Change Your Life” is set to debut this week, as is Maejor Ali f/Juicy J and Justin Bieber’s “Lolly,” which was up 115 spins, and look for 2 Chainz’ “Used 2” and Rick Ross f/Future’s “No Games” to continue to grow each week… Lee L’Heureux and WB are still grinding out Macklemore’s “White Walls.” It’s at #8 this week, up 227 spins. He also has Jason Derulo’s “Marry Me” at #28 with a triple-digit increase… Ayelet Schiffman and James White at Columbia have Juicy J’s “Bounce It” knocking on the Top 25’s door, with an increase of 50 spins. Naya Rivera’s “Sorry” is at #39 this week… And at Epic, Ciara’s “Overdose” is about two weeks from charting, and they are gearing up for a major impact with Future f/Miley Cyrus. Stay tuned!
